Eero Saarinen was a Finnish American architect and industrial designer of the 20th century. He believed that his clients were “co-creators,” which led him to adjust his approach to design according to what they wanted instead of strictly adhering to his aesthetic.

Pedestal Collection was designed in 1957, Saarinen resolved the "ugly, confusing, unrestful world" underneath tables and chairs. The design principle is a circular base from which a stem extends upward to a large Circular top.

White artificial marble stone, 1" inch thick with a beveled edge as per the original design. Underneath of marble is keyed appropriately to fit onto the strong metal base in lacquered white gloss, which has been manufactured to take the marble weight and 4 bolts secure the base to the top.

We love it.

First I got 36 marble top and gold base... It is gorgeous but was small in my dinette area, so I returned and got a bigger size 40’ round marble top and gold base and it arrived very well packed. We love it. The marble is heavier top as it is a stone, but we are happy with the size and overall great purchase

BEYOND PLEASED! & I’m very picky! Go for the Gold!

I have been eyeing this table for a long time. Originally, a table called the Julien caught my eye, but at $2999, I couldn’t justify the price, even as an interior designer. When I found the Tulip I had to do a lot of research because I could not find a place to see it IRL. I’m so glad that I got this table. The gold base just makes it took so luxe and updated! This table is truly gorgeous and I love that it is faux marble so I don’t have to worry about maintaining the tabletop.

Beautiful!

VERY HEAVY, but worth it! 2 of us spent 10 min to assemble it, but was easy enough to do. It looks absolutely gorgeous and easily seats 3-4 people.
